It's that time of year again!
Time to start planning your submissions for #SPSP2020! SPSP invites proposals for science and professional development submissions for the 21st Annual Convention of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology (SPSP) to be held February 27-29 in New Orleans. We welcome submissions across a range of topics relevant to personality and social psychology.
The programming submission portal will be open from July 8 - 23, 2019 and the Submission Guides can be found here. The #SPSP2020 program will include science-related symposia, posters, single paper sessions, and data blitzes, along with professional development sessions and workshops.
Similar to the new policy we implemented last year, we will not require that all data collection is completed prior to submission. Our goals in making this change were to allow the most cutting-edge research to be presented at the conference and to reflect broader movement in the field to evaluate research based on the quality of methods independently of the obtained results (e.g., in registered reports). If you utilize this option, you will be asked to affirm that data collection will be completed prior to the conference.
This year we will again be offering a Collaboration Zone to help bring people together who are hoping to organize symposia on specific themes or who wish to participate in symposia to showcase their work. Be sure to check it out. In addition, people who are interested in giving a talk but are not interested in or able to organize an entire symposium are encouraged to submit for a single paper session.
The primary goal of #SPSP2020 is to highlight the richness and breadth of research in social and personality psychology. Please visit the convention website for further information.
See you in New Orleans!
