It's that time of year again!
Time to start planning your submissions for #SPSP2019! SPSP invites proposals for symposia, professional development, and individual presentations for the Twentieth Annual Convention of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology (SPSP) to be held February 7-9 in Portland, Oregon. We welcome submissions across a range of topics relevant to personality and social psychology.
The programming submission portal will be open from July 9 - 24, 2018 and the Submission Guides can be found here. The #SPSP2019 program will include symposia, posters, single paper sessions, data blitzes, and professional development sessions and workshops.
New this year, for symposia submissions, in addition to accepting empirical and theoretical talks, we will also accept talks from industry that show applications or interventions of science as part of a symposia submission.
New this year, we will not require that all data collection is completed prior to submission. Our goals in making this change are to allow the most cutting-edge research to be presented at the conference and to reflect broader movement in the field to evaluate research based on the quality of methods independently of the obtained results (e.g., in registered reports). If you utilize this option, you will be asked to affirm that data collection will be completed prior to the conference.
This year we will again be offering a Collaboration Zone to help bring people together who are hoping to organize symposia on specific themes or who wish to participate in symposia to showcase their work. Be sure to check it out.
The primary goal of #SPSP2019 is to highlight the richness and breadth of research in social and personality psychology. Please visit the convention website for further information.
