This year's preconference is entitled, "Conflict, Polarization, and Cooperation: Cultural Origins and Solutions," and focuses on how cultural psychology can help us understand the increased conflict and polarization in today's world as well as ways to reduce it and increase cooperation across cultural lines. The morning will include one symposium on polarization and conflict, and another on cooperation, and then a round table including speakers both sessions to promote discussion and dialogue among attendees. The afternoon will include a symposium on interventions to promote understanding across cultural lines. In addition, we will have a data blitz session, and an award ceremony recognizing the accomplishments of leading cultural psychologists. We look forward to seeing you in New Orleans for what will be an intellectually stimulating day!!
