A preconference on self and identity has been a fixture of the SPSP conferences for many years. This year's Self & Identity Preconference continues the tradtition by featuring an exciting and eclectic lineup of contributors. This year's conference will explore research 'beyond the self' in three themes: Expansion in Relationships and Subcultures, Beyond the Self in Self-Regulation, and Beyond the Immediate Self. In addition, the preconference will feature invited addresses by the Early Career and Lifetime Career Award winners. With a diverse panel of speakers reflecting the depth and breadth of the field, organizers hope to make this preconference a testament to the vitality of current self and identity research.
